FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: measuring method of current in electric conductor by magnetic reed relays means that magnetic reed relay with normally open contacts is installed near electric conductor. The said relay is adjusted so that it actuates and closes contacts at IOP1 current in electric conductor, returns to primary position and opens contacts at IDR2 current. Time period between moments of contacts closing and opening is measured, and according to this time current amplitude is specified. Besides additional magnetic reed relay with normally open contacts is installed, which is adjusted to actuate at IOP1 current and return at IDR2< IDR1 current. Time period between moments of contacts closing and opening is measured after they actuate and measured current amplitude is calculated by formula

EFFECT: current measurement accuracy increase.
