FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ferrous metallurgy, particularly to design of tuyeres for oxygen blow of liquid metal in converter. The tuyere contains concentric pipes corresponding to circuits for oxygen supply, to circuits for supply and withdrawal of cooling water, and of a head with Laval nozzles attached to ends of pipes. The nozzles in the head of the tuyere are turned in two planes relative to axis of the tuyere. Also axis of the nozzle in one plane passing through diametre of the tuyere is turned relative to axis of the tuyere with rotation centre in cross point of tuyere axes, while in another plane, running through tuyere axis perpendicular to diametre plane of the tuyere, the nozzles are turned around axis passing through the end of Laval nozzle in plane perpendicular to axis of the nozzle. Additionally, Laval nozzles are turned relative to axis of the tuyere at angle 10…25° in plane passing through diametre of the tuyere, while nozzles in plane, running through axis of the nozzle perpendicular to diametre plane of the tuyere, are turned clockwise at angle 15…25°. The head of the tuyere is additionally equipped with cylinder nozzles of small diametre positioned between Laval nozzles and oriented similarly to these nozzles; diametre of the cylinder nozzles amounts to 25…35% from diametre of a narrow cross-section of Laval nozzle; their number corresponds to number of Laval nozzles.
EFFECT: invention facilitates intensive circulation of liquid metal bath during blow along total horizontal plane, particularly in lower layers of bath.
