FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises yoke coiled using armco steel band, rods for winding representing pack of armco steel layers. Layer lengthwise edges adjoin yoke radial plane overlapping the yoke layer lengthwise edges in radial direction. Rods represent multi-turn loops extending along rods axes and made from armco steel tapes and compacted to make inner coil tapes planes adjoining. Aforesaid yoke is separated into two and more yoke sections adjoining opposite edges of rods edges. Multi-turn loops extending along rods axes are bent in central part and stacked into packs with cross section corresponding to rod cross section, their number being equal to that of the device phases. Winding rods are arranged in one plane, rods axes being arranged radially. Method of producing magnetic core comprises cutting armco steel into tapes, coiling them onto yoke and rod cylindrical mandrel to produce rings, removing said rings from said mandrel, compacting them to bring inner turn tape planes together to produce loop extended along rod axis. At the same time, said tapes are bent at their center at the angle depending upon the number of phases. Said extended and bent loops are used to produce packs of rods with their axes arranged radially. Each loop belong to two rods.

EFFECT: reduced materials-output ratio and labor input, power consumption and heating of induction devices.
