METHOD OF TREATING INFLAMMATORY COMPLICATIONS OF ALVEOLAR DEFECT SURGERIES Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61N5/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and aims at treatment of inflammatory complications of alveolar defect surgeries. The operation is preceded with a laser exposure that covers: mucous membrane in a defect zone in front of the tragus, submaxillary region, the orifice of branches of the trigeminal nerve and along the 2 and 3 branches of the trigeminal nerve. The wave length is 0.89 mcm; frequency is 600-1000 Hz; output power is 5-8 mWt/cm²; exposure time is 2 min for each region. The therapeutic course is 8-10 procedures. On 2nd - 3rd postoperative day, a lateral; projection of neck, the low- and mid-third of the face are exposed to combined microcurrent at current strength 500-800 mcA combined with multichannel bipolar pulse current electric stimulation of the posterior neck and interscapular region at frequency 20-120 Hz, current strength 1-100 mA, marking interval and interpulse time 2 s, procedure length 10-20 min for the course of 12-15 procedures. The therapy is alternated every second day with the laser exposure on a suturing region at wave length 0.62 mcm, frequency 600-1000 Hz, power 3-5 Wt/cm², 2 min for a region. The therapeutic course is 12-15 procedures.

EFFECT: method allows normalising muscular activity, microcirculation and lymphatic drainage, enables detoxification of said regions, reduces intensity and depth of the cicatricial changes in postoperative tissues.
