METHOD FOR TREATING PARODONTITIS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, physiotherapy.

SUBSTANCE: one should perform three-stage laser irradiation in therapeutic dosages and surgical therapy. Additionally, before laserotherapy it is necessary to conduct medicinal application. Moreover, at the first stage, one should introduce cholisal gel into pouches, moreover, parodontal pouches of 4 mm size and more should be irradiated through a thin disposable light guide, and at lesser depth - from the side of vestibular and oral surfaces of alveolar process, for 5-7 d, total time for one seance is 12-20 min. During the second stage, in the course of fragmentary operation one should apply the mixture of cholisal and pantovegin at 1:1 ratio onto thrown aside fragment to irradiate it for 3-7 min. At the third stage one should conduct application with vasoactive gel onto area of alveolar process both of maxilla and mandibular, into interdental spaces and onto sites of trigeminal nerve output; laser irradiation in therapeutic dosages should be carried out onto the same areas, the quantity of procedures being 5-7, total time for each seance is 12-20 min. The method enables to considerably accelerate therapeutic terms and prolong remission period and, also, perform out-patient therapy at shortened terms of patients' disability that, in its turn, leads to positive economic effect.
