SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wood handling equipment and can be used in forest industry and other industrial branches wherein long-cut materials are handled. Caterpillar clamp grapple log loader comprises primary machine equipped with frame furnished with gripper and hinged on to the foundation hinged to primary machine body, hydraulic cylinders to turn the frame with gripper relative to rotary foundation and hydraulic cylinders to turn the frame relative to primary machine body. Both hydraulic cylinders have pressure and discharge limes. Primary machine body incorporates supports for rotary foundation gripper and load to rest on relative to rotary foundation in turning from load gripping position into transport position and back.
