FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves electrochemical stripping of a zirconium anode in a solution containing a corresponding alcohol and an electroconductive additive at high temperature. The electroconductive additive used is lithium chloride and the process is carried out in a solution which also contains ethanol and gallium trichloride.
EFFECT: method reduces electric power consumption of the process and increases output of the desired product.
