FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for synthesis of acrolein through oxidation of propylene involves a step for dehydrating glycerine to acrolein in the presence of a propylene-containing gas. The propylene-containing gas is a reaction gas taken from the step for oxidising propylene to acrolein or a gas mixture which is fed into a propylene oxidation reactor.
EFFECT: method enables partial use of renewable material thereby increasing acrolein output.
