FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: device includes a pressurised vessel wherein a steam generator is installed consisting of a liquid sprayer and a thermal energy radiator. In the lower part of the pressurised vessel a vessel is installed intended for collection of liquid having failed to evaporate and equipped with a liquid level indicator which latter vessel is connected to the liquid sprayer via the pipeline, through the mechanism intended for separation of liquid having failed to evaporate from steam and a hydraulic accumulator. The pipeline is connected to the supply pipeline delivering liquid from an external source. On the supply pipeline a backflow valve is mounted that prevents passage of liquid having failed to evaporate therethrough during delivery of liquid from the vessel intended for collection of liquid having failed to evaporate. The non-evaporated liquid cutoff mechanism is represented by a condensate drain. The method envisages spraying liquid over the thermal energy radiator through the liquid sprayer whereto liquid is delivered from an external source along the supply pipeline through the hydraulic accumulator. Liquid having failed to evaporate is collected in the vessel intended for collection of non-evaporated liquid and delivered along the pipeline through the mechanism intended for separation of liquid having failed to evaporate from steam, the hydraulic accumulator and the liquid sprayer.

EFFECT: invention enables steam generation efficiency improvement and process parametres control simplification.
