FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to area of radiation diagnostics, namely to X-ray osteodensitometry measurements. The bone mineral density analysis is ensured by preparing a digitised radiograph of diagnosed bone tissue and wedge simulator placed in water containers. An average signal of the analysed region and within its horizontal measurements is calculated. A mass density of the simulator corresponding to the calculated average signal is determined. The X-ray intensity measurement at the output of a diagnostics object and behind the simulator is ensured by the same channels of the receiver. The X-line position of the analysed bone and the simulator is specified in equal coordinates.
EFFECT: method is characterised by high reliability and responsiveness of the bone mineral density analysis.
