FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to braking devices intended, particularly for drum winches. Proposed braking device comprises independent braking lever that can revolve on common axis with cranked lever. On applying downward force, element extending from the lever engages with cranked lever part to bring about force that causes turn of said cranked lever. Rotary motion of cranked lever is transferred to rocker. Turning rocker increases or decreases tensioning of braking belts. Cylinder can be actuated to turn said rocker which results in tensioning forces applied to braking belts and decelerating drum rotation. Energy of rotation is sent back to connecting link via coupling elements. Rotation energy is absorbed by spring arranged between cranked and braking levers.
EFFECT: higher safety.
