FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method is implemented by impressions of both dentures, stone models of the dentures, photogrammetric scanning and complex three-dimensional computer-generated model of the denture. Two-layer silicone impressions of both dentures are prepared with making silicone records of the position of central occlusion and the positions of right and left lateral occlusion for denture closure reconstruction in approximation of the stone models. Besides the space orientation of the dentures is enabled by a face bow record to mount the stone models in the articulator with an upper magnetic base block in the position of central occlusion; dot reference points are marked on a base of the upper magnetic base block of the articulator and scanned together with anterior surfaces of the stone models of the dentures. The silicone records of deviation of the mandible are used as a reference to position the stone models in the position of right and left lateral occlusion; silicone indices for approximation of the models of the maxillary and mandibular dentures in the positions of the right and left lateral occlusions are prepared. More exact approximation is ensured by gluing metal cones on an inside of each model. The anterior surfaces of the stone models in the position of lateral occlusion are scanned, and scan data are used to orientate the previous three-dimensional computer-generated models for reconstruction of the positions of the right and left lateral occlusions. Then the stone models of the dentures are used to make split casts, the specified teeth are prepared for crowns, the stone models of the dentures with the prepared teeth are scanned, the crowns on the prepared teeth are made, the stone models of the dentures with the made crowns are scanned, the three-dimensional computer-generated models of the dentures with the prepared teeth and crowns are matched with the three-dimensional computer-generated models reconstructing the space positions of the central and right and left lateral occlusions. As a result, the complex three-dimensional computer-generated model reconstructing the recorded positions of the central and right and left lateral occlusions is produced.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of preparation and prosthetics ensured by control on the occlusion ratios of opposed dentures, and improved quality of treatment in orthopaedic patients.
