SUBSTANCE: cigarette box comprises package case to keep cigarettes and cover pivoted to the package case. Package case and cover comprise front panel, rear panel and two opposite lateral panels. At least one lateral panel of the cover has at least one lug that, with the package closed, extends beyond imaginary connecting line between said pivoted joint and front lower edge on lateral panel. Package comprises wrap accommodated inside package case. Note here that at least one intake area is formed between wrap and package case, and at least one lug enters the interacting intake area on closing the package.
EFFECT: locking of cover in closed position, ruling out of spontaneous opening of said cover.
