SUBSTANCE: laundry washer comprises tank for storage of water for washing, drum for placement of linen and steam generator, where water is supplied separately from water for washing. Method includes steps, at which operation of primary washing of linen is carried out to remove relatively large-sized dirt to prevent secondary contamination with this dirt, operation of steam washing with drum in operation, supplying steam to soak dirt in water and to sterilise linen, and operation of the main washing with drum in operation to remove dirt and dissolved proteins with the help of hot water containing laundry detergent.

EFFECT: development of method for operation of laundry washer providing for efficient removal of dirt containing protein and sterilisation of linen.
