SUBSTANCE: washing machine with drying function has steam generator for spraying of steam immediately onto cloth under washing procedure. Method for controlling of washing machine using dispensing of hot air heated by drying heater to cloth through drying box involves heating fed water, intended for cloths washing, in order to generate steam to be sprayed onto cloth through drying box to perform washing procedure; determining whether or not drying procedure is accomplished after washing procedure; providing drying procedure using drying fan for removal of moisture remained in drying box in case it is determined that drying procedure is not performed.

EFFECT: increased washing efficiency, reduced consumption of power, effective removal of moisture remained in drying box in case drying procedure is not accomplished after washing procedure.
