FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in the method for providing survivability of polyphase thyratron motor according to invention, in each interval of pulse-width modulation the operative condition of each of n frequency converter and motor phases. In case of fault detection in one of the phases the tasks for phase currents are generated in thyratron motor control system in such a way that phase of currents could remain unchanged and amplitude could change by the law: where F(φ) is some periodic function that defines EMF shap; φ is rotor rotation angle in electrical degrees; n is number of phases; i is number of polyphase thyratron motor section.

EFFECT: providing survivability of polyphase thyratron motor executed with microcontroller control system during emergency outage of one of the phases by means of shaping the rest of phase currents with maintaining set rotation speed and torque.
