SUBSTANCE: method of pressing part of car body with implementation of thin plate consists in preliminary determination of destruction origin in thin plate during plastic deformation and in successive pressing part of car body on base of results of determination of destruction origin in thin plate. The stage of destruction prognosticating consists in a procedure of converting a limit curve of destruction in space of deformations into a limit curve of destructions in stress space; further, the stage includes the procedure of prognosticating presence of destruction origin using the obtained limit curve of destruction in stress space and the procedure of facilitation of obtained result of determination of material destruction in the process of damage.

EFFECT: efficient and high accurate development of car bodies, optimisation of amount of material used during forming and raised safety at accident.
