FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: according to one or more variations of deformation trajectory there is determined occurrence of destruction in thin plate during process of plastic deformation. Prediction of destruction consists in a procedure of conversion of limit curve of destruction in space of deformations into limit curve of destruction in stress space, in a procedure of prediction of presence of destruction occurrence implementing obtained limit curve of destruction in stress space, in a procedure of facilitation of obtained result of determination of destruction occurrence in a thin plate for determination of material destruction in process of damage, and in a stage of facilitation of result of prediction of destruction for determination of destruction at damage of part of a car body using a thin plate.

EFFECT: quantitative evaluation of destruction risk at compression moulding or damage for efficient and high quality car body design optimised by material, compression moulding and structure of car body.
