FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device includes movable and fixed contacts, constant magnets, drive for control of movable contact, current sensor, rotary mechanism electrically connected to current sensor, and housing made in the form of hollow cylinder which is fixed with possibility of rotary movement about its axis. Fixed contact is arranged inside housing, and constant magnets are installed on inner surface of that housing on opposite sides and directed with opposite poles towards each other, as close as possible to contact area of fixed and movable contacts.
EFFECT: reliable arc extinction of currents of any direction.
