SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery. At the stage of internal carotid cross-clamping, the carotid endarterectomy is combined with electrodermal activity recoding by galvanic skin response signals with using electrodes placed on a patient's extremity. Cerebral hyperperfusion syndrome is predicted by the occurrence of said signals at the stage of recanalisation in the operated carotid. The galvanic skin response signals are recorded by the electrodes placed on the first finger on the intervention side. The severity of hyperperfusion is assessed by pulse rate of the galvanic skin response signals and electrodermal activity duration, and also by the occurrence of the galvanic skin response signals after 10-20 minutes from recanalisation in the operated carotid.

EFFECT: method allows improving the reliability of perioperative prediction of cerebral hyperperfusion syndrome.
