FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of washing water treatment filters and is mainly meant for eliminating bacterial contamination from packed bed filters and membrane elements. The method of washing water treatment devices with a filter element involves treatment of the devices with a disinfecting aqueous solution containing hydrogen peroxide and an organic disinfectant. The devices are further treated with an aqueous solution of a salt of polyhexamethylene guanidine with concentration of 0.01-0.1 g/l. The organic disinfectant used is alkyldimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride. The salt of polyhexamethylene guanidine used is polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride or phosphate.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of washing and removing disinfectant-resistant bacteria without dismantling membrane installations or without removing filter material.
