DEVICE FOR DRYING GRAIN Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A23B9/08 F26B11/00

Abstract RU 2402910 C2

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machinery, namely to devices for drying grain. The device comprises a cylindrical casing, a downloading tube, an unloading box coaxially mounted inside the casing with an ability to rotate the transporting working body, heating elements and a cooling device consisting of a fan and a duct connected to the interior of the casing behind the unloading window. The outer surface of the casing is covered with a layer of insulating material. The transporting body is a screw, which turns are made in the form of a perforated elastic profile of a solid or hollow sections, which front edge is perpendicular to the generatrix of the cylindrical surface of the screw, and the diametre of the perforation does not exceed the minimum grain size. The profile has a height of not less than the gap between the inner surface of the casing and the outer surface of the cylinder. In the interturn space of the screw a removable film is installed, which is made of insulating material and having a reflector coating on the outer surface. Depending on the type of processed grain the removable film may have different thickness. The casing is made compound, and the casing constituent parts are separated by rings made of insulating material, the heating elements are placed on the outer surface of the casing under a layer of insulating material between the downloading tube and an unloading window, at that each part of the casing is equipped with individual heating element and the end surface of the casing from the downloading hopper is made perforated.

EFFECT: invention enables to reduce the unit cost of grain processing, reduce the number of grain injured during drying, increase productivity, while ensuring the necessary thickness of the dried grain layer.
