FIELD: medicine, veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, to haematology, namely to hemostasis and can be used for choosing a corrective treatment of thrombocyte disturbances in newborn calves with functional digestive disorders. The method involves blood sampling and stabilisation, thrombocyte recovery from blood, evaluation of catalase and superoxidedismutase activity and malone dialdehyde concentration, and calculation of an antioxidant thrombocyte state factor. If the antioxidant thrombocyte state factor in newborn calves is within 6.4×106-5.5×106 MU2/nmole×109 tr., the intramuscular injections of phosprenyl 0.8 ml/kg is administered in calves for 5 days. The antioxidant thrombocyte state factor within 5.4×106-4.7×106 MU2/nmole×109 tr. requires the prescription of polyzones 5 mg/kg included in the feed regimen for 6 days. When observing the antioxidant thrombocyte state factor 4.6×106 MU2/nmole×109 tr. and lower in newborn calves with functional digestive disorders, cresacin 4 mg/kg is prescribed to be included in the feed regimen for 7 days.

EFFECT: method allows for well-timed and effective correction of thrombocytopathy in newborn calves in each specific case, with improving young cattle.
