FIELD: printing.

SUBSTANCE: letter-press machine includes printing cylinder, at least one colouring device with colouring apparatus comprising applying rollers, and at least one printing roll of letter-press printing containing the form's protruding parts that are covered by printing ink in contact with applying rollers, at least one colouring device. At that the printing roll of letter-press is activated by the first drive mechanism, and the colouring device is actuated by the second drive mechanism. At that the second drive mechanism is mechanically independent from the first drive mechanism, and the control unit is connected to the second drive mechanism to adjust the circumferential speed of applying rollers with respect to the peripheral speed of the printing roll of letter-press, thereby to regulate the imposition of colourful ink with the device on the printing roll of letter-press. At that the control unit is designed to adjust the circumferential speed of applying rollers with respect to the peripheral speed of the printing roll of letter-press to reduce or increase the accumulation of printing ink on the edges of protruding parts of the printing roll of letter-press. The claimed invention also relates to a method of control of such machine.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides with creation of letter-press machine and method of its control, which enables to obtain more accurate deposition of ink onto the printing roll of the device.
