FIELD: blasting.

SUBSTANCE: method for benchmark testing of power units comprising pyrotechnical and/or powder compositions, includes installation of pressure sensor onto combustion chamber of power unit, power unit start-up and burning, and also registration of internal ballistic pressure in process of burning through gas-dynamic link between combustion chamber and pressure sensor. Pressure sensor is installed onto tight combustion chamber, and gas-dynamic link of combustion chamber with pressure sensor is carried out after installation of pressure sensor prior to or in process of power unit start-up. Device for realisation of specified method includes tested power unit with combustion chamber, where seat is arranged with gas-dynamic channel for communication with pressure sensor joined to measurement and registration equipment. Forcedly opened or destroyed tight partition is installed in gas-dynamic channel.

EFFECT: inventions make it possible to improve quality and validity of test results since testing conditions are approximated to natural ones.
