FIELD: fire-extinguishing means.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of creation of highly efficient means of fire extinguishing, which make it possible to enhance fire-extinguishing ability of water. In method of fire extinguishing with dispersed water with additives, which includes volumetric supply of drop water flow into centre of burning, supply of drop water flow into fire focus is carried out by polydispersed pulverisation with average content of small drops with size from 10 to 50 mcm from 5-15% and large drops - from 50 to 150 mcm from 85 to 95% and total expenditure from 0.08 to 0.16 kg/m3 with supply intensity from 0.1 to 0.5 kg/m3 for 10 min and with addition of bicarbonates or carbonates of potassium or sodium phosphates to PH values of water medium from 8 to 9.
EFFECT: application of polydispersed water pulverisation will make it possible to enhance fire-extinguishing ability of water due to optimal ratio of small and large drops of water in flow, delivered to centre of burning, increase of fire-extinguishing ability of water is also enhanced by addition to it substances of alkaline nature.
