SUBSTANCE: method to control tension of warp threads consisting in providing additional deformation of warp thread, in which prior to beating of weft in zone of shedding, warp threads are pressed and moved towards the side opposite to feed from fabric trim, acting at slack threads. Device to control tension of warp threads, comprising facility to create additional deformation of warp threads, kinematically connected to the main shaft of machine, in which facility to create deformation of warp threads is installed behind the front bar of loom along with the motion of warp threads with the possibility of horizontal reciprocal motion and is arranged in the form of two shafts installed in supports, cogs of which via levers are connected to traction rod kinematically connected to the main shaft of the loom, at the same time shafts are installed with the possibility of motion along vertical line.

EFFECT: improved quality of manufactured goods as a result of aligned tension of warp threads along width of loading.
