FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: receiver processes received data from multiple reception antennae in multiple stages. A first stage performs input filtration/correction of the received data with an input filter to process out-of-time signal components in the multiple received signals. A second stage processes the filtered data with one or more combination matrices to combine on-time signal components for multiple transmitted signals. For MIMO-CDM transmission, a single input filter may be used for all channelisation codes, and a different combination matrix may be used for each channelisation code. Partitioning the receiver processing into multiple stages simplifies derivation of the input filter and combination matrices while achieving good performance. The input filter and combination matrices may be updated separately at the same or different rate.
EFFECT: more efficient reception of MIMO transmission.
