FIELD: transportation, packaging.
SUBSTANCE: packing unit has a secondary packaging for collecting and holding several separate primary light-weight containers. The secondary packaging has two layers of thermoplastic thermosetting film covering the light-weight containers. The layers are joined to each other at least partially on the periphery of the secondary packaging. Each of the primary light-weight containers has a housing and a neck having a hole. The light-weight containers are placed in the secondary packaging in rows which form one essentially flat layer. All containers are aligned such that their longitudinal axis forms an angle between 0 and 45° in the plane of the packing unit. The neck of each container is aligned so that it is at least partially inserted between housings of containers lying in neighbouring row and so that necks of containers in the peripheral rows are turned towards the inside of the flat layer of the packaging. The group of inventions also relates to a method of making the packing unit.
EFFECT: method and device provide easy packing of containers so that they can be stacked; also such packing creates a good outward appearance and reliable storage of containers; said method is cheap and environmentally safe.
