SUBSTANCE: invention relates to file with clamping element of sheet steel used to tightly clamp sheet material. File with clamping element comprises the first clamping tab and the back clamping tab connected to it by means of bracket. At the same time the back tab of clamping element adjoins back wall of back cover of file. And front clamping tab of clamping element is pressed to window-equipped section of multiply folded strip, which is formed from longitudinal edge of back file cover bent towards to front side of file. This strip also forms a support interacting with counter-support, which is formed from bent edge of front clamping tab of clamping element protruding in internal part of clamping element. In the centre of at least front clamping tab of clamping element there is a bulge extruded to protrude outside, having semicircle shape, top of which faces bracket of clamping element.

EFFECT: clamping element with a determined area of coverage, provides for quite a significant area of coverage.
