FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of potassium chloride using a halurgic method. The method of controlling this process involves controlling flow of water into the solution for crystallisation depending on the concentration of potassium chloride and its temperature. Further, the flow of solution is measured and content of crystalline sodium chloride magnesium chloride in it is also measured. Flow of water into the incoming solution for crystallisation is calculated from the obtained parametres and the calculated values are entered as settings into the water flow control system:
, where is flow of water into the receiving tank of the vacuum-crystallisation installation, t; Gcl s is flow of clarified solution, t; Ki is increase in degree of saturation of the solution with sodium chloride owing to content of crystalline NaCl in it; is concentration of NaCl in the clarified solution, t/1000 t H2O; αKCl is degree of saturation of the solution with potassium chloride; KNaCl is the increase factor of concentration of the saturated solution on sodium chloride for αKCl<1.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the process owing to real-time control of automation equipment.
