FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method for preventing spontaneous fires in the worked-out area of acting mining faces involves drilling of wells to the worked-out area and protective treatment of coal losses. At that, methane-air mixture is first removed in turn in the drilled wells from the mining face. As aerodynamic resistance of the next well increases, protective treatment of the fire zone formed under it is performed.
EFFECT: increasing efficiency of protective treatment.
