SUBSTANCE: when mobile terminal receives a telephone call or message, one or more of identifying segments of musical file, including multiple segments, some of which have associated data, identifying specified segments, are used to create a ringtone. Associated data may be stored as information of musical file header or may be stored in a separate memory. Associated data may be provided by service of data transfer, with the help of which the musical file was acquired. Segments of file used to create a ring tone may be selected by user, and associated data may also be presented by user by means of software program. Besides, audio file may be provided by service of data transfer, and associated data identifying at least one of file segments may be provided by service of data transfer.

EFFECT: creation of method for separation of segments of long audio file, making it possible for mobile terminal to extract and reproduce specified segments as incoming message arrives or in case of another event, to announce which a sound signal is used.
