SOLID STATE LASER Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC H01S3/06 H01S3/81

Abstract RU 2408118 C2

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: laser has an active element in form of a plane-parallel plate with flat lateral and end faces and a three-mirror resonator. The resonator is formed by two opposite lateral faces of the plane-parallel plate, having a high-reflection coating for generated radiation and inclined towards each other at an angle α, and an exit mirror which partially transmits laser radiation. The face of the active element inclined at an angle φ to one of the faces with high-reflection coating is transparent to the generated radiation, and the exit mirror which partially transmits laser radiation is detachable and lies on the side of this face. The detachable mirror is placed such that the beam reflected therefrom falls in this face at a right angle. Between the exit mirror which partially transmits laser radiation and the said face there is an optical element which controls spectral, time and energy characteristics of the laser radiation. The said optical element used can be resonator Q-switch, a dispersing element or a laser radiation frequency converter.

EFFECT: wider field of using the laser.
