FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to neurology for novocaine block. A medical instrument comprises a metric marked ruler and two parallel sponges orthogonally attached thereto with their upper ends. Working ends of the sponges are one-way directed. One of the sponges is rigidly fixed to an end of the ruler. Another one is movable on a frame along the ruler. The instrument comprises a second similar ruler attached to the first ruler, movable and fixed in a horizontal plane. Each ruler has a long slot to insert a bolt body. Each frame comprises a screw passage. The diametre of a tapered slotted bolt head exceeds the upper width of the slot in the first ruler. The bolt nut is placed at an upper surface of the ruler. The slot in the first ruler on a lower surface is wider than that on the upper surface not including a bolt head protruding from the slot at the lower surface of the ruler.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of nerve projection locating on skin in a sagittal plane.
