FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysts of oxidising purification of oil and oil distillates, particularly fuel oil of mercaptans and carbon sulphides, and can be used in oil refining. Proposed method comprises using the complex of derivative transition metal with nitrogen-containing ligand and differs from known method in that water-monocolamine mix is prepared in the ratio of 20/80 vol. %. Design amounts of derivative transition metal and aliphatic amine are dissolved in aforesaid mix with their molar ratio varying from 1/1 to ј. Homogeneous catalyst thus produced is then kept at 80-95°C for 0.5-1.0 h. Note here that air is forced through catalyst solution. Note also that said derivative transition metal is represented by chlorides, acetates, cobalt, nickel or copper oxychloride or naphthenates, while nitrogen-containing ligands are represented by aliphatic amines.
EFFECT: catalyst slows producing high-quality oil and oil distillates.
