SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the industry of construction materials and can be used in making silicate wall articles - slabs, bricks, blocks and wall panels. The method of preparing a mixture for light silicate walling materials involves saturation of 3.0-20.0 mm particles of foamed glass - heat insulation, soundproof or mixture thereof with a lime suspension containing 10 wt % solid substance Ca(OH)2 and 0.5-7.0 wt % hydroxide of a monovalent alkali metal, mixing the obtained material with jointly ground lime and silica components, moistening to moulding-moisture content. The construction article in form of a slab or brick or blocks or wall panels obtained from the raw mixture prepared using the disclosed method is moulded in form an article and undergoes hydrothermal treatment in an autoclave.
EFFECT: reduced heat- and sound conductivity.
