FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: gas static bearing consists of case (4), chamber (1) communicating with supplying main (3) and of insertion installed inside case (4) and closing chamber (1). The insertion consists of gas-proof bushing (5) in orifices of which there are installed porous pieces (2) at least more, than two in form of a key. Pieces (2) are of different length and are arranged alternately by length, also, length of one piece (2) equals to 0.67 of bearing length, while length of another equals to 0.5 of bearing length.

EFFECT: improved distribution of gas pressure in gap of bearing in region adjoining ends of bearing due to amplified effect of lubricating wedge formed with different dimensions of pieces length.
