GAS-DYNAMIC CHANNEL FOR CONTINUOUS CHEMICAL LASER HAVING ACTIVE DIFFUSER IN PRESSURE RECOVERY SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC H01S3/953

Abstract RU 2408960 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: gas-dynamic channel has series-connected laser gas generator, mixing unit, laser chamber with a cavity resonator and lateral chambers for placing resonator mirrors and a pressure recovery system. The pressure recovery system consists of a supersonic diffuser divided pylons into several channels, and an ejector. The supersonic diffuser is made active with possibility of ejecting an active gaseous mixture and has a passive part with pylons inside, which is connected by a nozzle cluster to the mixing chamber of the active part. The nozzle cluster of the active part is in form of a frame, the inner surfaces of the walls of which lie in the same plane as inner surfaces of the walls of the passive part. The pylons and nozzle cluster have inner cavities linked to nozzles lying in the back part of the walls of the nozzle cluster and pylons. Exit sections of the nozzles of the pylons and the nozzle cluster lie in the same plane, pylons and outer surfaces of the frame of the nozzle cluster have openings linked to their inner cavities, to which are connected pipes for feeding the active mixture from not less than one collector. The frame of the nozzle cluster is joined to the mixing chamber by a flanged connection. Axes of the nozzles of the pylons and the nozzle cluster are parallel the direction of flow of the laser gas, with possibility of creating coflowing jets of the active gaseous mixture in the mixing chamber.

EFFECT: high degree of compression and coefficient of ejection of the pressure recovery system of the laser, obtaining stable gas parameters in the laser chamber and reduced overall dimensions of the system.
