FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly to burnishing thin-wall hollow articles. Processed billet is imparted forced rotation, while tool is imparted forced rotation, lengthwise and crosswise feeds. Note here that tool is used comprising roller fitted on axle mounted in the holder and consisting of two disks and spinning element arranged there between and representing a ring. One of said disks is fitted on the axle, while the other disk seats thereon to perform adjustment motion and fixation. Not here that both disks are arranged to rotate together, while roller axle is arranged in the holder to rotate independently therein. Said spinning element is made up of metal wire frieze bunches with certain density factor of frieze. Note also that said spinning element is loaded by additional v-crosswise force to provide for certain interference.
EFFECT: expanded process performances, higher quality and efficiency of processing, higher wear resistance of spinning tool.
