FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing preservative compositions like chromium-copper-arsenic, intended for protection of wood and products thereof against fungi, white ants, etc. Pulp-like precipitate remained on the bottom of container left after impregnation of wood by water solutions of chromium-copper-arsenic preservative compositions is used as an initial stock. Aforesaid precipitate is rinsed by water with water-to-precipitate ratio making 10-30:1.0.Rinsed precipitate is dried to air-dry state, humidified to moisture content of W=60-70% and treated by sulphuric acid. Sulphuric acid is added in amount of 40.0-50.0 wt % on air-dry precipitate and chromium (VI) compound is added thereto in amount of 6-8 wt %.
EFFECT: optimum use of arsenic wastes, reduced costs of producing high-efficiency preservative composition.
