SUBSTANCE: fluorine-containing polymer is obtained through emulsion polymerisation of a fluorinated monomer in an aqueous medium which contains a fluorinated emulsifying agent of formula XCF₂CF₂(O)_mCF₂CF₂OCF₂COOA, where X denotes a hydrogen or fluorine atom, A denotes a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal ion or NR₄, and m is equal to 0 or 1, and coagulation of the obtained aqueous emulsion and then drying at temperature not higher than 230°C. Residual amount of fluorinated emulsifying agent is highest at 10 parts per million.

EFFECT: obtaining a fluorine-containing polymer with low residual amount of fluorinated emulsifying agent and which virtually does not contain perfluorooctanoic acid or its salt.
