FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a fluorinated surfactant of general formula: [Rr-(O)t-CHF-(CF2)n-COO-]iXi+ (1), where t=1 and n=0 or 1, Xi+ is a cation with valence i, where i=1, 2 or 3, and Rf is selected from perfluorinated groups of formula Rf 1-[ORf 2]p-[ORf 3]q-, where Rf 1 is represented by a perfluorinated aliphatic group with 1-6 carbon atoms, Rf 2 and Rf 3 separately denote a linear perfluorinated alkylene with 1, 2, 3 or 4 carbon atoms, and p and q separately assume values from 0 to 4, wherein the sum of p and q equals at least 1. The invention also relates to a method of producing a fluoropolymer in the presence of one or more surfactants described above.
EFFECT: disclosing an alternative version of the emulsion polymerisation process.
