SUBSTANCE: key performance indicator is created based on a spreadsheet, which involves installation of a spreadsheet, allocating cells in the spreadsheet which must be used as the value of the indicator, and a target value. The key performance indicator can be estimated by extracting a value of an indicator from a cell of the spreadsheet, comparing the value of the indicator with a target value and providing visual display based on the comparison result. The target value can also be expressed as an allocation in the spreadsheet. Allocations in spreadsheet can contain links to the database which contain data which must be used as the value of the indicator and the target value. An alerting value can also be given, compared with the indicator and visually displayed based on the comparison result.
EFFECT: simple processing of performance indicators stored in complex spreadsheets.
