SUBSTANCE: absorbent garment is proposed, comprising a retaining kit having the first and the second transverse end edges, at that the said retaining kit contains a fluid-permeable inner covering sheet with the side facing the user which is not fluid-permeable, the outer covering sheet and an absorbent core, located between the inner and outer covering sheets. Additionally the garment comprises at least one belt panel attached to one of the transverse end edges of the retaining kit, at that the said belt panel is attached to the retaining kit along the seam, which side of the belt panel facing the user, faces the inner cover sheet of the restraint kit. The garment is packaged and stored folded in the transverse direction at the specified seam.
