SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing fuel additives. The invention relates to a method of producing an additive with higher low-temperature stability, involving: removing sulphur from tall oil fatty acids to a level of 25 parts per million or lower, fractional crystallisation of tall oil fatty acids and removing the crystallised fraction of tall oil fatty acids to obtain a lubricant additive in which crystals are not formed at temperature as low as -20°F. The invention also relates to an additive with higher low-temperature stability, a method of increasing low-temperature stability of fuel and fuel.
EFFECT: disclosed is an additive which does not contain crystals at low temperatures.
