FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hot-briquetted iron. Device to separate water and 4 mm-fraction from hot-briquetted iron comprises vibratory cooling conveyor, trough, water and 4 mm-fraction collection funnel, nozzles to feed water intended for washing said fraction off funnel walls, and interconnected horizontal and vertical beams to attach trough to vibratory cooling conveyor. Note here that said trough is 2565 mm-long and 1700 m-wide and is welded in cantilever to end section of vibratory cooling conveyor with an angle of 7° to horizon to make conveyor continuation, while its bottom represents a sieve.
EFFECT: ruling out slurry duct plugging by slurry and fine fraction spilling out.
