FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used in production of sections, primarily, rods by elevated-temperature compaction from difficult-to-form alloys. Cylindrical billet is fed into press container with sleeve. Process washer with is arranged to produce inner space between the billet and press washer. Billet and washer are heated. Heated billet is formed. Said process washer is pre-formed in container sleeve from heated billet. Billet heating temperature is 250°-450°C higher than that of process washer heating.

EFFECT: reduced production costs number of production units, higher yield.
