FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used for pressing cylindrical blanks. The method for processing cylindrical blanks includes two stages of pressing. In the first stage, the first billet is pressed to obtain a second billet of smaller cross section. The second workpiece (7) is divided into the outlet, stationary and tie-down parts and the press residue. The output part of the second workpiece is divided into parts of the measured length, which are used as workpieces in the second stage of pressing.
EFFECT: reduction of waste sent to remelting is ensured, and the yield of good is increased.
