FIELD: transport, package.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to packing of, for example, paper stacks, rolled hand towels and toilet paper rolls. Proposed method consists in moving set of articles from feeder or grouping device towards first wrapping spindle so that outgoing products group are wrapped in packing sheet. Said sheet features U-like shape turned through 90°, its rear open, and arranged vertically ahead of the spindle. Group of products and packing sheet coming out from first wrapping spindle are taken and fed directly between parallel horizontal transporters of tilting drum. Wrapping devices are arranged inside said drum, on its sides, to come in contact with the product and package, while first margins of vertical collaring are bent onto sides of products group to produce lateral and front extension along the feed direction. Proposed device comprises horizontally moving product feeder, first wrapping spindle, appliances for cyclic positioning of packing sheet vertically between said feeder and spindle, driven pusher to direct and push fed product through wrapping spindle and pull packing sheet to form U-like shape turned through. Note here that proposed device comprises also tilting drum accommodating wrapping devices arranged between parallel transporters and allows bending first margins of vertical collaring of packing sheet onto lateral sides of products produce lateral and front extension along the feed direction. Transporters and tilting drum operated in synchronism to make transporters cut out after every turn of tilting drum to push out loaded packed product and receive new packed product.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and simplified design.
